E-Spurs Preview: Stoke City vs Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham travel to the bet365 Stadium on Saturday for a rare 3pm kick-off, looking to stretch the gap over fifth place Chelsea even further. With Spurs set to be boosted by the return of Harry Kane in attack, there is plenty for fans to be optimistic about going into the final stretch of games this season.

The reverse fixture at Wembley in December saw Tottenham run out impressive winners by five goals to one, inspired by a Harry Kane brace, in a game which also saw Ryan Shawcross score at both ends, opening the scoring for Spurs with an own goal after 21 minutes.

Our View

Tottenham are riding high after the hugely impressive 1-3 win over Chelsea last time out, meaning that Champions League football for a third successive season is a real possibilty.

With the return of Harry Kane, combined with the purple patch currently being enjoyed by Dele Alli, Spurs should have too much for Paul Lambert’s struggling side.

If Spurs maintain their strong defensive record and Kane manages to carry on where he left off then I can see Tottenham hitting at least two or three, meaning a good away day going into the Wembley showdown with Manchester City next weekend.

E-Spurs Prediction: Stoke City 0-3 Tottenham
